A Safety Timeout is a structured process to ensure workplace safety before starting a task. The form guides you through a set of questions to assess potential hazards and necessary precautions. Follow these steps to complete the process effectively:
1. Enter Task Details
- Provide a brief description of the task you are performing.
- Specify the location where the task will be carried out.
2. Answer the Safety Questions
- You will be presented with a list of safety-related questions.

- Select YES or NO based on the way the question is phrased.
- If the question requires a text response, provide a clear and concise answer.
4. List Hazards and Controls
- Identify any hazards associated with the task.
- Provide the control measures to remove, reduce the likelihood or impact of hazards.
5. Submit the Form
- Review your responses to ensure accuracy.
- Click the Submit button to finalise the Safety Timeout.
3. Handling Non-Ideal Answers
- If your answer to the questions indicates that a potential hazard hasnt been addressed, you will recieve an Alert for you to contact your supervisor.
- It is important to address any safety concerns before proceeding with the task.
